Other examples: walk hop, turn, sit, run, throw catch

SILLY DIRECTIONS:
Give student directions to follow that involve everyday objects in the house.
Parent:  "Go get a sock, take it to the living room, throw it in the air"

MATCHING GAME:
Get 3x5 cards.  Write single word on each card.  Make 2 sets.
Put 10-20 cards out (depending on age of student).
Take turns trying to get a match.   If the cards do not match return them to the same spot.
If there is a match put the word in a sentence.
The person with the most matches wins.

NAME GAME:
Think of a letter.  Take turns naming all the words you can with that letter.

ANIMAL ALPHABET:
Start with letter "A".  Think of an animal that begins A, then B.  Go through the alphabet to "Z" naming animals.
Think of other categories to do the same thing:  geography, names of cars etc.

READING/DRAWING:
Read a story to your student.  After reading 1-2 pages stop and have the student draw a picture of what is happening.
Have the student tell about the picture.
