Enterprise Elementary School Counseling Department
I am thrilled to be your new counselor at this amazing school! Originally from Syracuse, NY, I received my BA in Education from Roanoke College, and my Master's degree in school counseling degree from Liberty University. I was an elementary classroom teacher for 14 years in PWCS before becoming a counselor, and feel honored to have been in this role for the past 9 years.
I believe that the quality and level of connection in our relationships with children is most often the best predictor of how well we are able to support them. I see my role as helping students create solutions to their problems. My counseling approach is to work with students to identify their challenges, and explore possible ways to resolve them. It is strength focused and recognizes each child's autonomy.
I am the proud mom of three daughters, and spend most of my free time cheering them on at their soccer games. I also enjoy reading, taking pictures, and researching my family's ancestry. The Hecker household looking forward to some very exciting days ahead with the addition of our new puppy, Clementine, in September.
Please always reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. I am happy to support your children in any way I can.
